Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from this purpose are enhanced performance in the skill of ploughmanship, health promotion due to the physical exertion and mental skill required by participants and an increased awareness of ploughing skills by both participants and spectators. These benefits are demonstrated by keeping logs of results and attendance
at local ploughing competitions and documenting the successes of competitors who go on to compete at Northern Ireland and World level. This purpose does not lead to harm. The charity’s beneficiaries are members of the public who are interested in tilling the soil.
