Public benefits

The purposes of Mourne Gospel Fellowship are the promotion and encouragement of evangelism of children, young people and adults. Mourne Gospel Fellowship meets the public benefit requirement in that our principal purpose is the advancement of the Christian religion and our principal activity is our public worship services each and every Sunday.

Everyone who chooses to attend the worship services is welcomed. Special activities are provided for children during the morning worship service to enable parents of young children to attend. The service is also recorded onto DVD and made available, upon request, to those who are unable to attend. Minibus transport is provided for those who live locally but cannot provide their own transport to the services. We seek to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people regardless of race, religion, sex, social status or background. By sharing God’s love equally to all we seek to build bridges across the whole community. We teach and promote Christian principles and therefore provide support to needy and broken lives. Various methods and means of outreach are used to ensure as many people as possible and from as many backgrounds as possible are presented with the message of the Bible. For example; a weekly drop-in operates throughout the year and a weekly children’s meeting continues during term time. We provide recreational facilities in a Christian environment free from alcohol, gambling and drugs. Counselling support is also offered freely. Prayer requests can be made at the weekly prayer meeting. We provide opportunities for people to learn about and become involved in the work of other Christian missionary organisations further afield. For example, in Dublin and Nigeria.
