Public benefits

The direct benefit which flows from the NIRT purposes include all aspects of education and training for all medical, nursing and allied health professionals working in the field of Rheumatic disease within Northern Ireland. An example of this would be assisting with attendance at a national or international conference to present research funded by

the NIRT. The benefits of this can be demonstrated through networking and benchmarking with leaders in the rheumatology field of practice both nationally and internationally resulting in better physical and emotional outcomes for patients with rheumatic diseases in N.I. There is no harm flowing from this purpose. The beneficiaries of this purpose are all individuals living with rheumatic disease in N.I. The trustees have no private benefit from the NIRT.

Activities carried out by the organisation Supports medical ,nursing and allied health professionals working in the field of rheumatology in N.I. to attend training and educational institutes/conferences to benchmark, network, gain knowledge, skills and expertise in the field of rheumatology. This results in improved care to patients living with

rheumatic conditions in N.I. To critically review and fund appropriate research projects within the field of rheumatology in N.I.
