Public benefits

Charitable Purpose No 1: Our organisations primary focus is to benefit the residents of the rural community of Galbally and the surrounding area by delivering a range of programmes and activities. We work with the general public within this geographical without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion. The benefit

that flows from this purpose is that the organisation can deliver a range of services and activities, in partnership with statutory, community and voluntary organisations, which can help improve the quality of life for local people. Through our activities people have an opportunity to develop a range of knowledge and skills that allow them to improve the conditions of their own lives. Our activities allow people to interact with each other and build positive relationships. Through our interaction with external agencies we are able to offer a greater range of programmes and activities which can add value to the work we do. Charitable Purpose NO 2: Our organisation has led on the development of a Youth & Community Centre which acts as a hub for all community development activity within the Galbally and surrounding area, benefiting the general public within this geographical without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion. The benefit that flows from this purpose is that our rural community has a first class community facility that is able to provide a host of community, social, educational, sporting and cultural activities. Without the intervention of our organisation our rural community would not have access to appropriate facilities which would not otherwise have been provided by statutory agencies. The benefit of creating a facility such as this is that it continues to be a catalyst for further community based activities, delivered by our own organisation but also by other local charitable organisations. We continue to maximise the effectiveness of our building in meeting the needs of the general public within the local community of Galbally and the surrounding area. There is no potential harm or indeed any private benefit in regards to all of our charitable objects/purposes.
