Public benefits

Advancement in education for the Community of Neillsbrook Estates and surrounding areas. The benefit which flows from this purpose includes seeking funding for resources and courses for the group to reach out the community inhabitants and build essential links. This is demonstrated through having an active community development group that works in

partnership with the community and other bodies. The public benefit will be enhanced knowledge and understanding to all in the area through receiving an education in first aid, child protection, environmental issues, committee skills, suicide and drug awareness, youth and enhancement of the young community inhabitants. The benefits are demonstrated through the results achieved, regular feedback from those and evaluation of the services provided. This purpose does not lead to harm. The benefit is for the community of Neillsbrook, Tresna Park, Coolsythe Walk Randalstown and its environs, specifically those who have or will attend the courses on offer. To provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure occupation. The benefit which flows from this purpose includes improvement in conditions for the life of the inhabitants, to improve health and well-being. The purpose which flows includes increased participation, in activities and events to ensure the attainment of the community to increase their skill, enjoyment and social interaction, improvement in mental and physical health. This is demonstrated through the having access to resources, equipment which would not otherwise be available and the provision of events ensure links with the local community. The purpose will not lead to harm. The benefit is for all of the local community. This is demonstrated through having an active community development group that works in partnership with the community and other bodies. The benefit is for the community of Neillsbrook, Tresna Park, Coolsythe Walk Randalstown and its environs, the benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries.

What your organisation does

Neillsbrook Community Development Group is made up of residents in the community. All residents are encouraged to become actively involved, to assist running a calendar of events and initiatives e.g. Summer Scheme, Suicide Prevention, Drug Awareness sessions, musical evenings, Christmas events, fun days, historical awareness and supply the

volunteer manpower which is required. As a committee we always evaluate and monitor events or initiatives which we run to ensure that they are as successful as possible and to gauge the opinion of the community and to keep them actively informed. The community group issue a quarterly newsletter which is circulated within the community and Randalstown and from this feedback is also encouraged. Neillsbrook Community Group retain close links with statutory authorities and voluntary and community sector organisations. the PTA - Northern Ireland to inform and update them.

Charitable purposes

The Association is established to relieve poverty, sickness and to promote any Charitable Purposes for the benefit of the community of Neillsbrook Estates to include Tresna Park and Caulside Walk, Randalstown and its environs (hereinafter called the ‘area of benefit’) without distinction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, class, marital status, political or religious opinion by associating with statutory authorities, voluntary and community sector organisations and the Community in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said Community in particular: (i) To maintain and manage (or co-operate with any local authority in the maintenance of) premises or centres in the area of benefit for activities promoted by the Association (hereinafter called ‘the centre’)
