The direct benefits which flow from this purpose are: Increased emotional and physical well being and confidence of deaf children. Reduction of stress and anxiety experienced by parents of deaf children, resulting in their increased emotional and physical well being. Increased inclusion and involvement of deaf children in the wider community.
Reduced isolation of deaf children their parents and families through an environment of mutual support. Indirect benefits which flow from this purpose are: Increased awareness and understanding of the deaf community within the wider community. These benefits will be evidenced through regular feedback from deaf children and their families and through regular written evaluation of services provided. Benefits will be evidenced in the annual report. This purpose does not lead to harm. The benefit is for deaf children, their family members and carers in Portadown and surrounding areas. Indirect beneficiaries are the wider community through increased engagement with deaf children and their families. A private benefit flowing from this benefit is that gained by the Management Committee Members and their deaf children using the services provided. Management Committee Members access these services in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries

Our organisation exists to further the education and relief of deaf children in the Portdown and surrounding areas by providing, recreational and leisure time activities and organising events for such children and family members and carers. Its also provides access to resources, practical advice and general family support. Finally it provides
opportunities to network, find mutual support and encouragement.
