The trust raises funds for the Hopeful Hearts Academy in Kampala Uganda. The school currently has around 250 pupils. The purpose of the school is to provide a general education to children from slums in Kampala and also to teach personal hygiene and disease prevention. By way of example the trust has funded the provision of a tap to bring clean
water to the school. This allowed basic hand washing. Although the trust does not directly operate the school the trustees are in regular contact with the school to monitor the use to which the funds are put. In addition the purpose of relief of poverty is further by the provision of nutritional foods to the children which is sourced locally and therefore helps the wider community. In addition, financial assistance has been given to some children in order to pay medical fees. Finally, many of the children at the school have no parents. The school provides a relationship with the community whereby these children find homes to live in with other families.
