The Trust fosters community spirit in the extensive variety of groups who use the premises for a variety of purposes. The Centre is known in the town as a neutral venue and is disabled friendly. It is very cost effective for small groups who self-fund or who get little funding from statutory and other funding bodies. Such groups have therefore a
place to meet which would not otherwise be the case if they had to pay commercial costs. The Trust is an expression of the caring nature of the church in that its Trustees are from the four main Christian denominations in the town. In the original ACE scheme it employed people from across the religious spectrum and delivered help to all irrespective of religious affiliation. Although this scheme has now ended, he Trust is still keen to foster good relationships and happily hosts various meetings to that end, including an inter-church prayer meeting. The office and activities of the Scripture Union’s Co Fermanagh Schools Worker in the building are further evidence of the Trust’s /continued benefit in this regard. The space is provided free of charge to Scripture Union Northern Ireland, which is itself a registered charity. These benefits are demonstrated through increasing demand for use of the facilities and issues being addressed, such as the promotion of child-care and breast feeding, which have struggled to find appropriate premises at reasonable costs in which to do their much needed work. In addition small gifts/grants are made to the four main churches in the town to help them specifically with their benevolent/charitable work at Christmas. This enables needy individuals and families to be supported financially and with food parcels at a time of the year when they feel most vulnerable and disadvantaged. The Trust provides the use of its excellent modern premises for courses such as Parenting Courses, Cookery Courses, inter-schools meetings, Bible Classes, Girls’ Brigade and Boy’s Brigade Badgework Classes. All of which enhance the lives of those participating in them. Very small charges are made, and in some cases none at all. The Trust provides the use of the premises for events such as Fresh Focus programs (adult learning); and the development work of the Western Health and Social Care Trust with young people aged 16+ who need help and guidance to engage with and integrate into society; and the early years intervention and developmental and family support work done by Action for Children in the town. Some of this work actually saves lives as young people are helped to cope and encouraged to reach their potential, and family life is rescued from the hell it can become. This benefit is demonstrated as these stakeholders speak of the excellent facilities available (which include audio-visual equipment) and the help they are to them to deliver their programmes, all of which have waiting lists. There is no harm flowing from our purposes. The charity’s beneficiaries at present are the local community in Enniskillen town and the local area, the four main churches in the town who pass on their benefit to others, Enniskillen Methodist Church, Action for Children Northern Ireland, Scripture Union Northern Ireland, The Western Health and Social Care Trust, The Fresh Focus Adult Learning Team. The only private benefit flowing from the Trust’s purpose is funds not otherwise used for charitable purposes which are incidental and necessary, and which are invested and used with the wellbeing of the structure of the building in mind.

The Trust currently leases two floors of its property to The Western Health and Social Care Trust for work with teenagers, and to Action for Children for early years intervention work with children and some work with teenagers and families which complements the work of the Trust. It uses its proceeds (after building maintenance costs) to support
work in keeping with its objects.
