Public benefits

The Association is established for the preservation and protection of health, the relief of poverty, sickness and distress among the inhabitants living in the Newry and Armagh area and their environs, who are suffering or have suffered as a result of the conflict in Northern Ireland, their relatives and carers, and in particular: a) To support

social inclusion and foster an atmosphere of mutual support and encouragement among persons so affected through the provision of educational, social and recreational activities. The direct benefits which flow from the purpose of NACV will include improved health outcomes, reduction in financial hardship and reduced levels of stress and anxiety for those who have suffered as a result of the conflict in the Newry & Armagh area. These benefits will be evidenced through regular feedback from those benefiting from the services and continual evaluation of our services. NACV do not believe nor cannot see that any of the purposes of our Charity will lead to harm flowing from such Purposes. The charity's beneficiaries are those inhabitants living in the Newry and Armagh area and their environs, who are suffering or have suffered as a result of the conflict in Northern Ireland, their relatives and carers. No Private benefit will flow from the purposes of NACV.

The objectives of NACV are to support and help victims of the troubles – individuals, groups and campaigns in seeking social and civil justice, to provide them with support and address their needs, and be a strong advocate on their behalf.
