Public benefits

Purpose 1: The direct benefits which flow from this purpose are that the children are learning in a safe and healthy environment with the other children and that their parents are themselves being educated in how to become more involved in their children’s education. These benefits are evidenced through feedback from parents, e.g., Parental

questionnaires, Primary School Teachers, Early Years Advisors and regular evaluation of the service by Social Services and the ETI (Education and Training Inspectorate). This purpose does not lead to harm. The beneficiaries of the purpose are children under statutory school age living in Portglenone and its surrounding area. They also include parent and carers of children under statutory school age in Portglenone and its surrounding area. A private benefit flowing from this purpose is that gained by a trustee from our programme of ongoing training in good governance, finance etc; which are transferrable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. Purpose 2: The direct benefits which flow from this purpose are that the children are being taught through the proper curricular guidelines and that the group gets continuous support through Early Years. These benefits are evidenced through feedback from parents, e.g., parental questionnaires, Early Years Advisors and regular evaluation of the service by Social Services and the ETI (Education and Training Inspectorate).
