Object a): To support the charitable work of Duang Prateep Foundation in the area of benefit (namely Phuket, Thailand) Orphans in Thailand benefit from the fund raising activities of Willies Orphan Fund by relieving their need for care, housing and education through our contributions direct to Duang Prateep Foundation. In particular our funds
have helped support an orphanage ensuring that the orphans had a place to live and were receiving adequate care and education. Object b): To promote awareness of the needs of orphans in the area of benefit Educating members of the public in NI about the real needs of children and young people affected by the tsunami in 2004 and thereby gaining their support for the work of Willies Orphan Fund and the benefit to people in Thailand. This also makes people more aware of the issues that affect the orphans. Object c): To construct, maintain and manage facilities in the area of benefit (Phuket, Thailand) for activities promoted by the Trust (Willies Orphan Fund) Willies Orphan Fund activities raise funds which are directly passed to the home to support buildings and facilities at the home such as a first aid room ensuring the children have access to adequate basic first aid treatment, a music room where music tuition, practice and performance are facilitated, kitchen which ensures adequate provision of meals and training in cooking, study room to assist students at all levels to complete homework and individual study, rice paddy and fish farm to help the children learn how to become more self sufficient for the future and to provide fresh produce for consumption at the orphanage. We also provide monetary support for the education of the children in the home in order that they can gain a basic education, such as reading and writing, as well as the opportunity as they mature, to gain qualifications and training to help them support their lives in the future. These benefits are demonstrated through: Progress of orphans from basic primary education as young children through to secondary and higher education in appropriate cases as children mature Provision of actual physical resources at the orphanage Creation of practical self help arrangements for the orphanage Evidenced in: School reports supplied from the orphanage Photographic and video evidence of the activities Facebook and website postings NI press coverage of activities eg Graeme McDowell First Aid facility It is not believed that this charity has or will lead to harm for any of the recipients of the aid provided ie the children or staff at the orphanage. The Charity provides funding and support, not any direct involvement with the provision of services in Thailand. There is no private benefit flowing to any member of the Charity in Northern Ireland and none known at the orphanage in Thailand

The Duang Prateep Foundation is an international charity working in Thailand, originally designed to assist children in slum areas of Thailand, but in the aftermath of the tsunami in 2004, much of their effort was directed to orphans of the disaster. The concept of Willies Orphan Fund is to support the health and wellbeing of orphans and displaced
children emerging in the aftermath of the tsunami. Assistance has been given to the establishment of a home for the orphans at Baan Tham Namchai, in conjunction with Duang Prateep Foundation, which now includes, as well as living, sleeping, cooking and washing spaces, a music room, first aid centre, rice paddy and fish farm, all partly funded by Willies Orphan Fund. The current emphasis of Willies Orphan Fund is to support the education of children at the orphanage, aged between 8 and 18. They receive support to allow their attendance at school, and colleges for the older children. There are a considerable number of monthly and annual donations to directly support education for the orphans, supplemented by income from events. Specific donations have also been made through the charity for projects such as the Graeme McDowell First Aid Centre at the orphanage. The money donated through Willies Orphan Fund is channelled through the Duang Prateep Foundation and goes directly to the orphanage at Baan Tham Namchai. There is regular contact between the orphanage children and staff in Thailand, with Willies Orphan Fund, charting the progress of the children involved. There are links between the children of the orphanage and Portrush Primary School involving an art exchange project. Fundraising is primarily in the Coleraine area but attracts support across Northern Ireland This link brings you to the Duang Prateep website and mention of this charity is made on the donation page: link : http://dpf.or.th/en/autopagev4/show_article.php?auto_id=26
