The direct benefits that flow from purpose 1 is advanced educational outcomes leading to a more informed local community. The direct benefit that flows from purpose 2 is that the community comes together leading to reduced social isolation. These benefits are demonstrated by feedback forms, the number of members of our organisation. The number of

people who attend our lectures and education evenings. The chairities benficaries are the people of the Glens and Dalraida area with particular emphais on the older generation. The is no harm or private benefit flowing from our purposes.

What your organisation does

We provide a large number of varying activities i.e. Pilates, yoga, Computer awareness, Art Appreciation, etc. All activities are provided and tutored by our own voluntary members. We also hold regular meetings, where the whole group meet up together to discuss their activities and listen to a stimulating guest speaker. We also arrange holidays and

trips to various locations both home and abroad.

Charitable purposes

The objects of the Glens and Dalriada U3A group are (i) to advance the education of the public and in particular the education of older people no longer in full time gainful employment in the Glens and Dalriada area and its surrounding locality. (ii) the provision of facilities for leisure time and recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the above persons in the interests of their social welfare.
