Purpose 1 To relieve poverty - The direct benefits to flow from this purpose are the prevention of social exclusion and isolation. These benefits will be evidenced through surveys, evaluations and feedback from beneficiaries. This purpose does not lead to harm. The charity's beneficiaries are the aged and older people, aged 55 or over, in

Fivemiletown and its surrounding environs. A private benefit to Trustees may arise from our programme of ongoing information sessions (e.g. benefits etc). Through information sessions Trustees may gain skills, knowledge and experience that may be transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. Purpose 2 To promote the preservation and protection of health - The direct benefits to flow from this purpose are increased physical and mental wellbeing. These benefits will be evidenced through surveys, evaluations and feedback from beneficiaries. This purpose does not lead to harm. The charity's beneficiaries are the aged and older people, aged 55 or over, in Fivemiletown and its surrounding environs. A private benefit to Trustees may arise from our programme of ongoing activities (e.g. healthy eating talks and exercise classes etc). Through activities Trustees may gain knowledge and wellbeing that may be transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. Purpose 3 The relief of those in need by reason of age - The direct benefits to flow from this purpose are raising awareness of the needs and experiences of older people. These benefits will be evidenced through surveys, evaluations and feedback from beneficiaries. This purpose does not lead to harm. The charity's beneficiaries are the aged and older people, aged 55 or over, in Fivemiletown and its surrounding environs. A private benefit to Trustees may arise from our programme of ongoing information sessions. What your organisation does

Fivemiletown Half Door Club provides a group for older people to mix socially once per week and provides opportunities, information sessions and classes for older people in the Fivemiletown area on: recreational activities, social activities, healthy eating, benefits, exercise and practical assistance.

Charitable purposes

The Assocation is established to relieve poverty, and the aged and to promote the perservation and protection of health among older people aged 55 or over and to promote the benefit of older people in Fivemiletown and its surrounding environs (hereinafter called the area of benefit ) and in particular: A provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for older people. B raise awareness among the general public of the needs and experiences of older people in the area of benefit
