Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from purpose one include the provision of services to all children and young people aged between 10 and 25 years resident in Enagh Ward within the Derry City & Strabane Council area for the purposes of benefiting those children and young people. Benefits include increased individual educational attainment, life skills

and abilities such as increased confidence and self-esteem; opportunities for work experience; opportunities to develop citizenship skills; skills in campaining & lobbying; and experience in celebrating difference and diversity. Benefits also include the promotion of healthier lifestyles; crisis intervention and referral and on-going support. These benefits are evidenced through qualifications gained, employment secured, self-evaluation feedback from our beneficiaries and regular independent evaluations. There is no identifiable harm to any person through the pursuit of the above organisational purpose. The beneficiaries of these purposes are children and young people aged between 10 and 25 years resident in the Enagh Ward with in the Derry City & Strabane Council area. A private benefit is that gained by a trustee who is also a young person and may access support services offered by Enagh Youth Forumin the same way that all Enagh Youth Forum's members may access services. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. Trustees may also gain skills and experience and an increased sense of well-being throug htheir role as Trustees of Enagh Youth Forum, however this benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure benefit is provided to the beneficiaries. Staff may benefit from personal development opportunities designed to ensure that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to enable them to effectively discharge their duties. This benefit is incidental and necessary for the work of the organisation to take place. The wider community benefits from the positive contribution made by children and young people to their communities as a result of their engagement with Enagh Youth Forum. This benefit is incidental and necessary for the work of the organisation to take place.

What your organisation does

Enagh Youth Forum exists to to meet the identified needs of the youth from across the Enagh ward. This youth led organisation meets the need as it comes through the door, from education to training and employment opportunities the group have developed programmes and services to meet the identified need. The organisation develops social capacity

through personal development, campaign and lobbying and inclusive best practice. The core focus of our work is to promote well-being in young people. We do this through a wide range of projects that seek to promote Economic Well-Being, Social Well-Being and Environmental Well-Being for young people aged 10-25.

Charitable purposes

Enagh Youth Forum is a voluntary non-profit making organisation established for the benefit of children and young people (10-25)yr without distinction of age, ability, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion in the Enagh Ward within the Derry City & Strabane Council area (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”). Enagh Youth Forum exists to educate, support and promote the well-being of such children and young people by developing their physical, mental and spiritual capacities so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and that their quality of life may be improved”.
