Public benefits

• The Direct Benefits which flow from our purposes to our beneficiaries lead to significant improvement in people’s lives; this includes better social cohesion, comradeship, together with improved health benefits, wellbeing and an overall enhanced quality of life. We take great care to ensure that our unique and varied programme of support and

entertainment remains relevant and appealing to all our beneficiaries, both those who have served in recent conflicts and veterans of previous wars. • The Direct Benefits are capable of being proven, demonstrated and evidenced by feedback from our beneficiaries, their immediate families and from the wider network of Ex-Services Charities and Old Comrade Associations with whom we work closely. This includes many letters of thanks, notes of appreciation and by word of mouth. • No harms whatsoever arise from our purposes. • Nil. There are no private benefits to unintended beneficiaries. • Nil. No fees or charges are levied to our beneficiaries.

What your organisation does

The organisation provides a range of recreational and social activities for disabled and elderly ex-service personnel. It provides home and hospital visits to elderly and socially isolated people. This is achieved through : Outings - a variety of different outings aimed at giving individuals and groups something to look forward to and experience

outside their usual routine. By providing a variety of leisure and recreational activities for ex-service personnel with disabilities, such as persons are relieved of financial and social hardships and the disadvantages they experience as a result of their injuries, health conditions or disability. The home and hospital visits increase the veterans social interaction and allow them to access to a wider view of the world. Affording wounded serving and ex-service personnel with disabilities the opportunity to mix with like minded people improves their quality of life and expands their limited horizons following injury thereby allowing them to integrate more fully into society and public life. Then increased interaction with wider members of society educated the public about disability and the roles of service personnel.
