Eden Place Arts Centre community arts project began life in a disused garage at the back of Pilot's Row Centre, Derry, providing art activities for the unemployed. Officially opened in 1993, it has developed into an Arts Centre at the heart of the community. Eden Place Arts Centre brings beauty and creativity to Pilot's Row Community Centre and
the Bogside area. The Centre serves over 300 people weekly, with participants of all ages from throughout the city and the cross border North West region. Our art and crafts classes attract people from all communities, encouraging good relations and social cohesion. Situated in the Bogside area, historically a flashpoint during Derry's troubled past, Eden Place Arts Centre has always been a haven for artists and students learning the arts for as long as it has been in existence. Eden Place has created a neutral space for our community, encouraging social engagement through promotion of the arts.
