Public benefits
Karmel Trusts primary object is to advance the Christian Religion and Education through Organising Services of Christian Worship, Fellowship, Prayer Meetings, Christian Teaching and Preaching. Raising awareness and understanding of Christian beliefs and practices,Producing and/or distributing literature on Christian beliefs/doctrines to enlighten
others about the Christian Religion and how to find out more about them. Broadcasting of Christian Messages of an evangelistic and teaching nature through media. Carrying out missionary, outreach work and acting as Umbrella Organisation for establishing and supporting new Ministries and Churches. Conduct training, seminars, workshops, conferences and lectures/teachings on Christian Education and other disciplines, including Theology, Apostolic Ministry, Biblical Counselling, Biblical Prophecy,Evangelism, Prayer and Intercession. The most significant benefit is the meaning that Christian Religion gives to a persons life and the way in which it contributes to their spiritual well-being. It helps to develop their spirituality (including strengthening their relationship with God) Providing a moral and ethical framework for people to live by; which offer benefits to wider society, as well as individual comfort, solace and sense of purpose. ? Our focus includes Churches and Christian organisations which serves to strengthen, encourage and bring further education to these existing realms at home and across the globe. Promoting what we believe to be the benefits of adherence to strong Christian values within society such as honesty, integrity, respect, faithfulness, unconditional love, support of our fellow man and other such virtues. We recently undertook cross border reconciliation work with our Southern Irish counterparts which was a very successful venture increasing awareness and knowledge of our mutual work whilst helping to bring about unity and generosity of spirit. We hope to continue this cross border work here in Ireland with future events. In addition we assist the Church practically through the donation of building materials, office equipment, furnishings and finances e.g. we are currently constructing a Church in Malawi which will be of great benefit to the local population. Our second object is to relieve poverty and sickness which we ultimately meet through our primary objective as we travel. Beneficiaries receive a new lease of life and a fresh impetus for life's difficulties as they embrace our ethos which is one of empowering them to start providing for themselves, have stewardship and ownership whilst promoting involvement of themselves among their own communities. This has contributed strongly to the life of community bringing a willingness to work together with mutual goals and has resulted in the forging and establishment of long term, new and beneficial relationships at every level including governmental, tribal, local levels and familial. We also strengthen and partner with local NGO's which widens our influence to a greater extent and has brought greater cross cultural understanding. This enables us to bring and impart various relevant skills including computerisation, administration, building, team building, project planning, general organisational abilities, maintenance and project management. The benefits of the organisation will be demonstrated through the annual report. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is the ongoing experience in governance which trustees gain. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries The Trustees have reviewed their actions and believe that any harm caused through its actions are minimal and would not outweigh any potential benefit. Practical examples are seen through our health and safety procedures to ensure the safety and welfare of the public, staff, volunteers and beneficiaries.

To date we endeavour to fulfil the objects of the charity both home and abroad through the following means. We work with various people groups home and abroad in the areas of church planting, support of regional churches, Christian ministries and leaders through conferences, seminars, crusades, supply of Christian resources, Christian education,
individual and group mentoring, cross border reconciliation events as well as all aspects of humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering connected with poverty. This includes areas of education from young children up to adults, areas of health awareness, feeding program's, farming projects, crops, clothing provision, medical supplies, school supplies and many other areas of benefit to local communities at home and abroad. We also partner with other Christian and humanitarian aid organisations having similar objects to our own which also helps to increase our effectiveness. Part of our strategy is also to build long standing and healthy relationships at both ground level and with the influencers in the communities where we work. We have managed this over time and with consistency of commitment to our beneficiaries.
