Public benefits

The Group was established to promote the benefit of disabled and non-disabled women in County Fermanagh and its environs without distinction of age, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the

interests of social welfare for the protection of health and for recreation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said women. The direct benefits that flow from this purpose include: • The promotion of increased awareness of role models to members and encouraging the celebration of their own achievements. • The improvement in key areas of concern for members through networking with a wide range of groups, community and statutory bodies on both sides of the border and partnering with our sister group in Co Leitrim. • Providing access to a range of courses for members that encourages learning new skills. • Provision of support, shared experiences with members and provide emotional support on a one - to- one basis when required. This improves self-esteem among our members. • The raised awareness within society as a whole on issues that face disabled and non-disabled women on a daily basis. • As a user led group all members feel welcomed and supported and through the activities arranged for members, leading to an improved quality of life and increased self-esteem. No harm or possibility of harm is associated with the benefits outlined above and no private benefit is associated with the purposes.
