Public benefits

To generally promote awareness of the nature and extent of the impact of permanent disability on the quality of life of those suffering from it, particularly within the Lisburn City area. And to provide services which facilitate and advance the independence of such disabled persons in daily living activities outside the home environment. BENEFITS

WE PROVIDE THERE ARE SEVERAL AREAS OF BENEFIT THAT FLOW FROM THIS CHARITY: The independence that we provide to those with mobility issues to allow them the freedom to shop, to interface with friends and family without being a burden. The Service provided by Shopmobility Lisburn is free to all its members and by offering this service free of charge we gain more visitors from outside our region and provide them with the ability to have better health and wellbeing. THE BENEFIT IS CAPABLE OF BEING DEMONSTRATED BY: Our tracking file shows the wheelchairs and scooters used on a daily basis and the sites where they are used. We can monitor to a certain extent the traders who most benefit but is impossible to determine the exact monetary value but it can be stated that both businesses and traders gain from this service. THE MAIN BENEFICIARIES ARE: Those with mobility issues within our community. The care givers and family members that have their independence when those with mobility issues can have a break from the constant support they give. Those persons in our society that could not otherwise be able to use the service for monetary reasons. HARM OR POTENTIAL TO HARM All members are assessed as individuals by trained volunteers on their ability to participate in the scheme offered and we see no harm or potential for harm flowing from this purpose. PRIVATE BENEFIT There is no private benefit.
