Public benefits
The direct benefit which flows from Purpose 1 includes an increased knowledge and understanding of Christian principles which allows the members to reach out to the local community, without distinction of race or of political or religious opinion in a practical demonstration of Biblical charity. The provision also provides members of the community
with emotional support at their point of need as well as empowering people to address the underlying causes of their emotional and physical needs. This is evidenced by the increased numbers of people attending the Church which is open to all members of the public and from the positive feedback received. This purpose does not lead to harm. The direct benefit which flows from Purpose 2 is the improvement of the life chances of the children and young people who attend the Kids Club/Youth Club. This improvement is brought about by the development of life and social skills which helps to equip the children and young people to achieve their full potential as active, involved and morally conscious citizens. These facilities are available to all members of the community who wish to avail of the opportunity provided. The benefits are evidenced by the positive feedback from the young participants as well as the fact that many of these young people go on to hold positions of leadership within the Kids/Youth Clubs. This purpose does not lead to harm. The direct benefit which flows from Purpose 3 is the short term relief from financial pressure alongside the empowerment of members and the general public to address the underlying causes of their financial (and emotional) needs through the provision of counselling programmes and money management advice. By addressing alcohol and drug awareness through outreach work the awareness of health, family, financial and societal related issues is also raised. The benefits are evidenced by the positive feedback from members of the community who have received such support and by an increased awareness of debt management. This provision is available for all members of the community. This purpose does not lead to harm.

VPCC provides of a place of worship for the general public in Ballymena town and the surrounding environs. This provision, as well as providing a place of worship also provides a place for members of the public, who so desire, to meet and fellowship, as well as providing an opportunity to study Christian principles and explore means of

The young people are taught Christian principles and how to apply such principles to their own lives as well as being given an opportunity to engage in practical activities such as Art and Craft, Drama, Team Games and an opportunity to develop their musical abilities. VPCC provides a Community Connection ministry which seeks to encourage the relief of poverty and improve the chances of families to thrive and achieve a healthy and secure future. The Community Connections ministry also seeks to highlight pertinent issues within areas of social deprivation with political representatives and public forums.
