Gleann Amateur Boxing Club was formed to give people in the local community a place to box competitively and become involved in regular physical activity. The Club is open to potential boxers of all ages and abilities, and we offer a wide range of training courses and sessions on a weekly basis which accommodate for all needs, whether competitive
or recreational. We do not operate any restrictions on our membership provisions, although the majority of our members hail from West and South Belfast. Additional to boxing activity and the advancement of amateur sport, we strive to provide programmes which target wider community issues, and in many cases boxing is initially used as a carrot for participation. These include, among others, cross-community and cross-border initiatives, educational activities, projects which promote pathways to employment or further training, and community safety programmes. We encourage full community participation to ensure all present and future members receive fair and equal treatment.
