What your organisation does

We operate a genealogy service and organise talks and tours for our members. Membership is open to all for a fee. Currently the genealogy service is based at Enniskillen Castle Visitor Centre and the talks are based at Enniskillen Library. We organise our board meetings and volunteer meetings at Fermanagh House, which is run by Fermanagh Trust. We

are the genealogy delivery services partner for Fermanagh and Omagh District Council. We operate a free consultation service to visitors, assisting them with their family and local history enquiries and act as a signpost for genealogy and local history resources in the County, putting visitors in touch with other tourism providers. We also deal with email enquiries via our email address. We operate a facebook page and engage with a worldwide audience, assisting and encouraging people with their genealogy and local history enquiries relating to Fermanagh and the surrounding area. We are also transcribing genealogy and local history resources for Fermanagh and plan to digitise resources and make them available on a variety of different web platforms, thereby promoting the history and heritage of Fermanagh.
