Public Benefit: Improved mental health outcomes for beneficiaries and improvement in the conditions of life for those in need through social welfare support. These benefits have been evidenced through feedback from clients and independent evaluation of services. In providing therapeutic intervention for clients with emotional distress, there is a
risk of expression of emotional distress however the benefit outweighs the harm. All counsellors and psychotherapists are educated to a third level of education are accredited or working towards accreditation, have many years of experience and are highly efficient at assessing risk. The charity’s beneficiaries are people living in Strabane and District N.I., who are suffering from poor mental health or emotional distress are victims of crime violence, bereaved and their families. Private benefit: A private benefit to trustees may arise from ongoing training in good governance, finance etc. Through this training trustees will gain skills and experience which will be transferrable to other settings.
