CPTT Public Benefit Statement The direct benefits which flow from our purposes are: Opportunity for young children in the area of benefit to participate to develop socialization skills through participation in recognised Early Years curriculum for preschool children. Recent published research findings highlight that investment in early years,
child mental health and wellbeing, and early intervention measures contribute to lifelong positive health, social and economic outcomes for individuals. Evaluation forms and verbal feedback from users is collated annually. This information is then presented in our annual report. Local government statistics produced by This benefit will be evidenced through collation of daily registers of children in each childcare setting (crèche, playgroup, afterschools), regular progress reports on each child, feedback from parents and annual evaluations and reporting in annual report. This information is then used to measure the project success and the impact on beneficiaries. Annual inspection by recognised Early Years inspection teams and compliance with Child Protection legislation also ensure benefit is met Provision of education classes will allow beneficiaries opportunity to improve education qualification and improve opportunities to enter employment. This can be demonstrated in the range of programmes offered which carry accreditation is collected through registration documents held for each education programme offered. A register of all those attaining educational qualifications is also retained by the organisation. Feedback from participants on courses also helps demonstrate benefit Association with other community and voluntary groups and statutory agencies to develop education, social, early years development enhances CPTT ability to provide direct benefits to beneficiaries. This can be demonstrated by Service Level Agreements signed with statutory bodies, by attendance of CPTT staff at local fora that focus on collaborative approaches to regeneration, education provision and early years provision within are geographical area of benefit, student placements. Evidence of these is contained within minutes of meetings and other correspondence with these groups which is filed and held by CPTT. Provision of a community facility, the CPTT Family Support Centre, by CPTT contributes to regeneration of local areas through maintenance of public building and space. This is an additional community resource within the area and provides a venue for social and recreational activities through provision of non accredited health and wellbeing programmes. This benefit is demonstrated in numbers attending such programmes (register is maintained) and also by feedback of participants on how much they enjoyed the courses. The charities beneficiaries are the inhabitants of the Creggan area of Derry and its environs at whom the public benefits of the purposes are directed. There is no harm flowing from our purposes. The only private benefit flowing from the purposes is that trustees may gain skills and experience as trustees which could be transferrable to other settings. These could include training in Good Governance. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries

CPTT’s Family Support Centre provides the following childcare and educational/training services for families and residents in the Creggan area: Pre-School playgroup Crèche and respite crèche facilities Parent & Toddler sessions After Schools Club Programme for 2 yr olds in conjunction with Sure Start Edenballymore Training placements for
apprentice childcare & administration workers/students Annual Pre-school Graduation Ceremony Extensive range of adult education courses including accredited and non - accredited courses e.g. , Essential Skills Numeracy, Literacy, ICT, Beginners - advanced IT and internet & email , healthy lifestyle intervention & prevention programmes, personal development, parenting programmes and job assist initiatives. We also provide Annual Education Presentation Ceremony International Woman’s Day celebrations DADS programme Annual Roadshow & publicity event Term time open days for course enrolment and feedback Both the Childcare Officer and Education Officer represent CPTT on various boards, sub groups and committees, these include Creggan Community Hub, Surestart Edenballymore, TRIAX Early Intervention sub-group, TRIAX health sub-group, Foyle Women's Information Network, Creggan Country park environmental forum and NWRC community education panel.
