Public benefits
The benefits that flow from Killyleagh Football Club’s charitable purposes are: (i) improved community life and greater social cohesion between communities through sports and recreation facilities being maintained so that they can be used by all communities; (ii) improvements in fitness and health and sense of well-being for all ages. These
benefits are evidenced through health studies and surveys which conclude that participation in sport and recreational activities improves health and well-being and, where people from different communities or backgrounds engage together, can strengthen social cohesion. No harm arises from these purposes. The club's fees are charged to cover running costs. These are reasonable, transparent and non-exclusive.
