Public benefits
Advancement of God’s Kingdom – This is achieved through public worship, missionary and outreach work. The beneficiaries of this Charity are: members of Millbrook Church of the Nazarene, their families and the General public within the Millbrook, Larne and Carrickfergus area. Our services are open to all sections of the community who wish to find
out more about the Christian Faith and these services are advertised on our website (www.millbrooknazarene.co.uk). The direct benefit of participation in church life includes mental, emotional health and wellbeing contributing to a positive moral and social impact on the community. Benefit demonstrated through observation of improved behaviour, public testimony and monitoring of pastoral care. The indirect benefits which flow from this purpose include the moral improvement in society as a whole which religion is considered to encourage. Advancement of Community Development – “Millbrook Church of the Nazarene - in the heart of the community with the community at its heart.” One of our aims as a Church is to reach out into the local Millbrook Community in which we are based. We organise a number of activities to this end including, but not limited to: Youth ‘Drop in’, Family fun days, Acoustic café, ROC Cinema and Holiday bible club for children. The direct benefit which flows from this is the encouragement of those who live in the locality of our Church as they participate in activities organised by us. The provision of entertainment, or a safe place for children and young people to ‘hang out.’ It is well documented that Churches help decrease the occurrence of crime and deviance amongst local teenagers and this benefits the community and provides positive role models for young people to follow. Benefit demonstrated through on-going feedback from community representatives, parents and team leaders. Only private benefit is the pastor who works part time and receives a salary. There are no other private benefits. We do not anticipate that any harm will flow from any of the above.

Millbrook Church of the Nazarene meets every Sunday morning in Millbrook Community Centre. All who attend find a warm welcome from friendly people who will offer help, prayer, support and friendship. We are committed to supporting the local community many activities are focused around the community. Including the following community
programmes: 'Drop-in' Millbrook drop-in is a safe place for young people 14-25 to hang out and have fun! Throughout the year, we bond over food, movie nights and games, while enjoying activities such as Go-Karting and trips to the cinema etc... We invest in the lives of our young people from Millbrook and the wider community, building them up to be confident in themselves and the love of Christ. 'Homegroups' Home groups provide the opportunity to meet outside the Sunday gathering. They meet on a fortnightly basis in homes during term-time. Home groups are made up of people who want to learn, grow, laugh and deepen their knowledge of God. While each home group is unique they are all founded on bible study, prayer and learning. You will be made to feel very welcome as we discover more about God together over coffee and a chat. You can listen, enjoy and learn or participate in the discussion. Either way its a great way to find out more about God, meet people, form and deepen friendships and find genuine support in life.
