Public benefits

The direct benefit which flows from this purpose includes the promotion of information that is more accessible and available to the public to increase their understanding and knowledge in relation to the history of policing in Ireland. Benefits are evidenced through feedback from members of the public who visit the Museum, serving officers who

receive educational talks and serving and retired police officers who contribute to the Museum. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries of this purpose are people living in Northern Ireland and international visitors. A private benefit to trustees may arise from our programme of ongoing training in good governance, finance etc. through this training trustees gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings.
