Public benefits

The public benefit flowing from the purposes include: The public is informed of research findings and therefore up to date issues in relation to Agoraphobia, Anxiety and all other Phobias. The public is better educated and more aware of the issues surrounding Agoraphobia, Anxiety and all other Phobias for the public within Northern Ireland. Those

suffering from Agoraphobia, Anxiety and all other Phobias are rehabilitated and supported and also better equipped to deal with the issues of Agoraphobia, Anxiety and all other Phobias. The benefits are evidenced through feedback from stakeholder and service user surveys and service user outcomes. There is a risk that conditions may deteriorate or not improve, but the benefits outweigh the risk. The beneficiaries are those individuals in Northern Ireland with Agoraphobia, Anxiety and all other Phobias. The beneficiaries also include family and carers of individuals in Northern Ireland with Agoraphobia, Anxiety and all other Phobias. There is no private benefit.

What your organisation does

Provision of counselling and support to those suffering from Agoraphobia, Anxiety and other similar conditions and all other phobias within Northern Ireland and raising awareness of these conditions.

Charitable purposes

The objects for which the Society is established are:- 3.1.1. The relief and rehabilitation of those suffering from Agoraphobia, Anxiety and all other Phobias within Northern Ireland. 3.1.2. To promote and undertake research into the Special Problems of Agoraphobia, Anxiety and all other Phobias within Northern Ireland and publish the useful results for the public benefit. 3.1.3. To advance the education of the public in Northern Ireland in all aspects of Agoraphobia, Anxiety and all Phobias. 3.1.4. To promote the rehabilitation, training and care of those persons aforementioned including the provision of self-help groups.
