The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include safeguarding physical and emotional well-being and the prevention of self-harm and suicide. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include individuals becoming well and staying safe and the alleviation of pain, hunger, suffering and anxiety. The direct benefits which flow from

this purpose include better lifestyle choices achieved through the increased availability of information and tools for children and young people delivered as part of our early intervention, educational, empowerment and training programmes. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include prevention of drug or alcohol abuse, reducing risks to sexual health, increased awareness and prevention of cyber bullying, self-harm and suicide and improved family relationships. There is also increased preservation of the local community leading to less anti-social behaviour and possible hardship for future generations. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include better lifestyle choices achieved through the increased availability of information, tools and training for volunteers. Benefits are evidenced through feedback from professional bodies including police, healthcare professionals, school teachers and principals, families and the beneficiaries themselves. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries are the general public living in Northern Ireland and in particular children, young people and vulnerable members of the community who are experiencing financial hardship and are at risk to abuse or suicide or who are abusing drugs or alcohol. A private benefit to trustees and staff may arise from our programme of ongoing training in good governance, finance etc. which enhance the charities ability to deliver its services. Through this training trustees and staff gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These skills are incidental and necessary to ensure the described benefit is provided to those we care for, our beneficiaries.
