Charitable purposes

The group is established to promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the environment for the public benefit primarily in the council areas of Mid and East Antrim, Antrim and Newtownabbey and the surrounding areas by all or any of the following charitable means: ● Clearing unsightly litter. ● Providing a 52 week per year pollution litter “clear up” on our roads, verges and green spaces. ● Working and cooperating with other civic volunteer groups, learning from them and sharing ideas and information. ● Cooperating with Council and official organisations to achieve mutually shared aims. ● Informing the public that official bodies no longer routinely clear litter/pollution from our roads and streets except for town centre areas. ● Encouraging others to take responsibility for the area they live in. ● Actively lobbying councillors and political parties to use their influence to establish a deterrent against the polluters, i.e. CCTV, wardens and realistic fines which may encourage such polluters to think again.
