Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from the purpose is the education of young people and adults to help them develop their musical talents in a responsible environment and helping them acquire a sense of achievement by displaying their talents in public at numerous functions. These benefits are demonstrated by the ability of the members to turn out in
a respectable manner to play music with the attendance and support of the public at these functions. There is no harm arising from the band's purposes. The main beneficiaries are those who practise and train acquiring skills in music and related activities of the band together with the members of the public who attend the various functions in support and encouragement of the band bringing communities together through music. There is no private benefit flowing from any of the bands purposes.

The Band is affiliated and operates on the grounds of St Joseph’s Parish in Ballymartin. It is open to all individuals within the community and surrounding areas. The band brings together members of the community, young and old, to engage in a musical experience by playing the flute and drums to a high standard. The band educates people in flute
and drum playing and members pass on their knowledge and skills to the next generation of musicians to sustain the culture and heritage of the band. The band meet weekly for rehearsals in a safe environment, this gives them the confidence to participate in Parades, Sporting events, Parish services and Christmas activities.
