The restoration of an authentic Carrickfergus Landmark that will positively contribute to the town's wider regeneration goals, physical appearance of the town, local pride, enhancing togetherness, community spirit and enhanced external perceptions. We are also aiming to provide a safe space for people to gather and enjoy irrespective of their age,
gender, race, nationality or sexual orientation. We will deliver a new high quality showpiece visitor attraction for the town and the local community will have the opportunity to become involved in the initiative and we will be actively selling the attractiveness of the venue to all the parties identified above. We also foresee that new businesses will be created through the increased number of visitors and tourists. We don't foresee any harm but we will actively risk assess to insure that issues that may cause harm can either be avoided from the outset. For those risks that cannot be avoided we will introduce appropriate mitigation to ensure that they are maintained to As Low As Reasonably Practicable, with supporting monitoring arrangements introduced to ensure that the Board has a grasp of all emerging circumstances. We are a not for profit Company/Organisation and all monies received will be reinvested for the upkeep and promotion of Result to ensure it retains its status as a desired attraction. We do not foresee any private benefit opportunities emerging from our activities, but we would also be highly vigilant to ensure that such a situation does not happen.

We (the Directors of Result Carrickfergus Limited) formed the Company as we are proud of our Town’s rich maritime heritage and we believe that our aims are fundamentally the last opportunity for the people of Carrickfergus to pay homage to our strong naval roots and to an era when we actually built ships that supported trade and prosperity across
the British Isles. Our objectives with the Carrickfergus built Tall Ship ‘Result’ are strongly linked to our Town’s beliefs and values, which are underpinned by its motto “Gloria Prisca Novatur” that translates to “Glory of the Old Made New”. These values are reflected by our intention to fundraise for the vessel’s sensitive conservation and relocation to Carrickfergus, but not just as an exhibit. The Static-Adaptive-Reuse approach that we intend to adopt will not only be self-funding in the future, but it will also help contribute to our Town’s attractiveness and prosperity.
