The direct benefits which flow from Lislea Development Association Limited are: provision of a vibrant modern community centre for the use of local people and local groups building of community participation for residents of the greater Lislea area supporting personal development and health and wellbeing through access to a range of
activities including arts, drama, dancing, physical activity, gardening and social entertainment providing opportunities for education and training, increasing the knowledge and skills of beneficiaries thus enabling them to contribute more fully to their local community and society as a whole. These benefits can be demonstrated by - the number of activities that take place in Lislea Community Centre - the extent of usage by local people of these activities. - the extent of personal development for local community members across a range of skills and education - the extent of improvement in health and wellbeing that local people feel they have gained from taking part in LDA activities There is no harm arising from the purpose of Lislea Development Association Limited. The charity’s beneficiaries are the general public, including individuals and community / sports groups. There is occasionally some private benefit benefits as a result of activities undertaken in Lislea Community Centre such as the payment of tutors or musicians and the hire of equipment or specialist services. These private benefits are incidental to the main work carried out within Lislea Community Centre. The private benefit supports Lislea Development Association Limited to deliver its public benefits through the provision of art, music and drama leading to improving the health and wellbeing of the community of Lislea and its environs. There is no private benefit to any trustee.

Our organisation carries out its purpose by delivering a range of activities from the community centre which it manages, for the local community, such as arts and crafts classes, social events, music and dance workshops and flower and horticulture activities. Our organisation consults regularly with our centre users to ascertain what other social
and recreational activities they would like to be offered. Our organisation's committee are all volunteers drawn from the local community.
