Increased community spirit and involvement. Recognition of the work that Newcastle Lions Club does in the community. We encourage service minded people in the community to serve their community without personal financial reward. We create and foster a spirit of understanding among the people of our community. The local community has worked with

Newcastle Lions club since 1984. We supplied and maintain 10 defibrillators in the local area which are linked to the NI ambulance service. During the autumn we organised a series of events to raise money for Daisy Lodge in Newcastle and donated £2000 to them. During this Christmas period we are collecting money at supermarkets and Christmas parties to donate to the Pantry foodbank and other local charitable needs. There is no harm arising from our purposes. People in need in the local Newcastle area. No private benefit.
