Farmers' Choir Northern Ireland

Registered

Charity no. 109865 Date registered. 28/02/2024

Public benefits

The direct benefits are the enhancement of the mental, social and economic health of the local community, and the reduction in isolation of members of the local community. These benefits will be demonstrated through the number of members in the choir, the invitation to and attendance at events and concerts in the local community each year,

including the Choirs own Christmas Concert. The completion of questionnaires to evaluate rehearsals and performances, and ongoing feedback from the local community. There is no harm or possibility of harm from any of the purposes. The beneficiaries are primarily the members of the choir themselves, and secondly, the wider local community from the rural areas of Northern Ireland. The choir must pay for certain services and goods, which are necessary for it to function. This could provide a private benefit to those supplying these services/goods, but this is necessary for the achievement of the purpose of the choir, and the costs are reasonable.

What your organisation does

By using a carefully worked out programme of vocal and physical exercises and a wide range of musical repertoire. By being open to all members in the local communities. By holding regular choir practices, planning for and delivering concerts.
