The direct benefits which flows from this purpose is that of improved safety, emotional, psychological an over all well-being. Through the services the beneficiaries avail of therapeutic this raises their own self awareness, emotional intelligence, equips them with coping strategies to assist them in having a safer, healthier, daily ability to

function. By attending they in a safe environment, which also assists to the development of relationships with their children, families & extended families training & awareness & improved community life by delivering psychoeducational workshops to professionals, families and general public. These benefits are evidenced via feedback forms, evaluation online surveys, partnership with university of ulster research, case studies & physio-metric testing i.e. Parental interview & assessment, Adult attachment assessments. Attendance and Progress charts. Safeguarding is at the core of our work. To do no harm, to protect from harm. My Family Matters Foundation Ltd has policies & procedures in place to deal with any of the potential risks of harm. All therapists, parenting coordinators, call-handlers, safety workers & facilitators are all qualified, registered with appropriate bodies and access ni checked. They also complete mandatory training in domestic abuse, safeguarding of children and adults, parental alienation, coercive control and suicide risks. We have a nominated first-aider, have fire extinguishers in place and fire exit emergency proceedures in place. What your organisation does

My Family Matters carries out our purposes through early intervention, prevention and long term support plans via the services we offer. Process: Intitial referral is taken by telephone by one of our call handlers and a contact form is completed to provide us with personal details, brief family background and reason for referral. Next the call

handler triages the risk into mild, moderate or severe. Liaises with senior team member to schedule an initial assessment for the beneficiary. On completion of assessment the journey of the beneficiary is explored by identifying the right support pathway to begin. Services: Individual therapy in person or via zoom Family Therapy Safety Planning Parental Coordination - Advice and guidance Psycho-educational workshops Resources Evaluation and Feedback

Charitable purposes

To provide relief of emotional and psychological distress and suffering, and to preserve and protect the mental health of persons who have suffered or are exposed to domestic abuse, post separation, coercive control and alienating behaviours, in particular by the provision of information, advice, training, family support, practical and emotional support to persons living in a domestic abuse environment. To advance education of domestic abuse, coercive control, alienating behaviours. and its effects, and to relieve those in need by promoting its prevention and the protection of those affected, whilst reconnecting, encouraging and promoting parent-child relationships after separation.
