Public benefits

Beneficiaries experience a range of advantages,

including enhanced health and living standards. The benefits are demonstrated through: - feedback from beneficiaries, including statistics demonstrating how many people the donations/fundraising has helped; - interaction on social media; - positive news coverage. There is no harm flowing from Digg Deep for Kids purposes. Children/young people Older people People with disabilities Other charities or voluntary bodies People in financial need People in ill-health Engaging in the organisation's fundraising efforts offers an incidental private benefit to businesses and influencers involved, as it leads to amplified social media and news coverage. Nonetheless, this heightened visibility is essential for achieving substantial fundraising goals.

What your organisation does

In each annual campaign, money is raised in different ways – i) selling limited-edition goods; ii) selling a raffle ticket; iii) cash donations. Some of the money raised is then given to a variety of ‘influencers’ to spend in local businesses. The money spent on goods is often supplemented or matched by those business owners – thereby

increasing the total amount of goods secured for people in need. Whereas some money is spent directly in local businesses, such as fuel providers, to allow designated charities to access vouchers.
