1.Improved communication and relationships between statutory service providers and service users and carers. 2.To improve service users experience of adult day care 3. To provide a platform for carers to share experiences as a carer of someone with severe learning disabilities. 4. Improve community awareness of adults with severe learning
disabilities. Identify & Establish key statutory service provider stakeholders Have structured formal discussions with key stakeholders. Increase informal communication with key stake holders to improve continued development of local services. 2.In co operation with day care staff and clients, identify events and activities that would benefit that are not currently being provided and that they would wish to be included in the weekly/monthly curriculum. Source funds and resources to deliver 1 major project per annum and a minimum of 3 minor projects,event and activities 3.Organise 6 coffee afternoons per annum for carers with a key theme eg.Life after mum and dad,claims and benefits, housing adaptations. Each coffee afternoon will have direct input from appropriate service providers/groups/agencies. 4.involvement of community groups in Sensability lead projects and activities. Participation of SensabilityNI carers and clients in appropriate community lbased activities.
