Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from the charity are improved self esteem and increased confidence which is nurtured and encouraged on a weekly basis through experienced tutoring of piping and drumming. Feeling part of a team has also a positive impact on a person's mental health which is why the charity holds social events encouraging team building
within the organisation and also helps to reduce every day stress and anxiety. All these benefits can only have a positive effect. These benefits are demonstrated by the number of people attending weekly practices and classes. By the support received from the local and wider community's attendance of BBQs, concerts, New Year's Eve events, etc. These benefits are also demonstrated by the number of members, both past and present who have taken part in National and International Solo competitions. The same can be said for those who take part in National and International band competitions where up to 35,000 people can attend No harm will flow from any of the purposes of Ballyboley Pipe Band The charity's beneficiaries are all those who wish to learn, teach or listen to the bagpipes, snare drum, tenor drum or bass drum. The majority of the beneficiaries will be from the communities of Ballyboley, Ballyclare, Larne and surrounding areas. There will be no private beneficiaries. No officer or member of Ballyboley Pipe Band will benefit privately from the charity.
