Public benefits
There are many benefits flowing from the provision of clean drinking water, chief amongst which is the reduction of incidences of ill health in the community. This in turn eases the considerable burden that such diseases can impose on local medical resources. The availability of clean drinking water also gives rise to social development
opportunities and the sustainability of local community and agricultural enterprise. Social development of this nature is an important step in permitting these local communities the chance to break free from the cycle of poverty. In addition, the work associated with the establishment and running of water wells will create employment opportunities within the local community. The benefits arising from the work carried out by the Premier Electric Charitable Trust will be identified by a reduction in instances of illness arising from water borne bacteria. It will also be apparent from improvement in the economic stability of communities in the vicinity of the water well projects. From the Trustees personal experience, communities with no access to clean drinking water struggle, as younger members of these communities often leave in search of greater opportunities and less challenging living conditions. With clean drinking water becoming readily available, these younger individuals will be more inclined to remain within their communities, providing opportunities for economic and social growth, bringing an end to the impoverishment that so often impacts life in these remote regions. The purposes of the Trust are unlikely to cause harm to any individuals or groups. The Trust's beneficiaries are local communities located throughout Tanzania. There is no private benefit to be gained from the purposes of the Trust.

The Premier Electrics Charitable Trust has set out to provide financial support to various projects (both pre-existing and newly established) principally based in Tanzania, associated with the establishment of water wells and the provision of clean, safe drinking water. The Trust seeks to provide financial assistance to such projects with the aim
of creating a sustainable structure for the development and running of these wells, which are often located in areas of extreme isolation and impoverishment with little or no access to clean drinking water. Not only will this work alleviate the hardship and ill health experienced as a direct result of unsafe drinking water, it will in turn create a framework from which social and economic benefits to local communities can flow.
