Public benefits

[What are the direct benefits flowing from your organisaiton's purposes?] A more compassionate community, where an enhanced narrative about mental health can be explored so that people can be more open about the highs and lows of their mental health journey. - More accessible and affordable opportunities to get involved in a range of artistic and

other recreational activities, where confidence, self-esteem, and skills can be developed. - Better and safer spaces for the community to come together through art and conversation, to reduce loneliness and isolation, and improve health and well-being for all. - A more informed community, where people have a better understanding and awareness of the support services that exist in their area, and can access them easier, so they reach their full potential and live their best quality of life. [How can the benefits identified above be demonstrated?] - The creation of a Drop-in space; where people can connect with others, build friendships and feel part of a supportive and non-judgmental community. - The delivery of affordable, fun and informal art projects and other recreational activities, where people of all ages and abilities are supported to learn new skills and do something to improve their health and well-being. - Proactive collaboration and signposting with other individuals and organisations who provide support and services, so that people can access what they need to live their best quality of life. - The promotion other such charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined. [Is there any harm arising from any of the purposes?] No Our beneficiaries are a real mix of ages, genders and abilities, but we have noticed that the space particularly resonates with men, especially those in their 20s-30s who are struggling with their mental health. Our Drop-in Centre is in the town centre of Bangor, BT20 5BG, but our beneficiaries are from across Ards and North Down, and throughout Northern Ireland. As well as working in areas such as Bloomfield, Breezemount, Whitehill, Clandeboye and Kilcooley, we have worked in areas such as Belfast, Magherafelt and beyond. [Is there any private benefit flowing from any of the purposes? Is it incidental and necessary?] No
