Public benefits

The direct beneficiaries from the fund are the students(Officer Cadets), who join the Corps to undertake Leadership and Development training to assist in gaining an additional credit on the graduation certification (namely University of Ulster (EDGE) and Queen's University, Belfast (Degree PLUS). Other schemes available to students would be the

"Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award Scheme". These awards give them additional qualifications that can be used within the civilian community and directly benefit there progression towards employment. We can provide statistics of the personnel who have completed the Leadership Modular training levels A and B within Queen's UOTC. This is provided to both universities for the personnel then to accredited with either the EDGE or DEGREE PLUS credits in conjunction with their graduation certification. We are an accredited training centre to award the Duke of Edinburgh - Gold Award Scheme, all results for personnel undertaking this scheme are online and are accessible via the Duke of Edinburgh scheme office within Northern Ireland. NO All members of Queen's UOTC are the beneficiaries. NO
