Public benefits
The direct benefits that flow from SWELL (Supported We Live Life) purposes are the organising and provision of a range of recreational, support and educational activities for persons from County Fermanagh and surrounding districts living with a cancer diagnosis, providing them with the opportunity to avail of activities that assist in protecting
their health, improve their physical and emotional wellbeing, reduce isolation, receiving advice and information, all of which improve their conditions of life. The group members also collaborate with their members, other local groups, charities, statutory and non-statutory agencies to raise awareness within the community of the needs and experiences of persons living with a cancer diagnosis and the benefits flowing from this are receiving support from other organisations to hold activities and deliver services. The benefits of the group activities are evidenced by measurement of numbers attending activities and feedback from participants. There is no harm flowing from the purposes of SWELL (Supported We Live Life). The beneficiaries of the group are persons living with a cancer diagnosis who live in County Fermanagh and surrounding districts. The only private benefit flowing from the group purposes are that trustees of SWELL (Supported We Live Life) and their carers/families, can participate in all activities and this is incidental and necessary to ensure that all eligible members of the community can potentially avail of these and benefit.
