Public benefits
The direct benefits that flow from the charity’s purposes are building community capacity and social capital, a reduction in social isolation, learning and development of new skills, appreciation of the arts, promotion of wellbeing, positive impact on mental, physical and emotional health, support for carers, volunteer development and fundraising
for local and national charities through participation in events and concerts. Outside the membership the wider community benefits from the inspiration, enjoyment, and appreciation of music at events and concerts and the opportunity for cross community interaction. Proof of these benefits can be shown by feedback from members and the public through evaluations and comments on social media. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. The beneficiaries are choir members and the general public in the Greater Lisburn area. There are no private benefits flowing from the purposes.

Lisburn Community Choir meets weekly from September to May to learn and practice together. The 2 Musical Directors teach us new songs and singing techniques and prepare us to take part in local concerts and public and fundraising events throughout the year. The weekly practices also include time for choir members to form friendships, spend time
together and to support each other. The Children's Choir gives children from 6-12 years of age the chance to learn and sing together in a fun environment and builds their confidence by taking part in performances.
