Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from the first purpose (the promotion of diversity and religious and racial harmony) are: The fostering and building of relationships between people of different nationalities, backgrounds, religions, races and orientations and increased insight, understanding and mutual respect. The direct benefits flowing from the

second purpose (the advancement of education) are: Additional help and support for schoolwork to improve educational achievement and increased knowledge and skills. The direct benefits flowing from the third purpose (the promotion of equality, diversity, and inclusion) are: increased understanding, acceptance, respect, and support among people from different cultures and increased knowledge of different cultures and heritages among the beneficiaries. These benefits can be demonstrated through feedback from beneficiaries and the increasing numbers of beneficiaries. There is no harm flowing from the purposes. The charity's beneficiaries are: • 6–9-year-old who engage in online session for educational and recreational purposes. • 10 - 13-year-olds who are also engaged for educational purposes as well as fun classes. • Students preparing for their GCSE. • Students who are preparing for their A-levels examination. • Children and youths from Asylum and refugee families. • All children aged between 6- and 13-year-old and 14- to 20-year-olds who wish to be part of DYNI The private benefits flowing from the purposes are: Some of the purposes have brought about growing numbers of leaders, development of relationships, friendships and allies have developed, some who came in very shy and unable to engage have opened and started engaging more, new skills have been acquired by so many and a few older youths from 21 are beginning to talk about being Youth workers themselves. These benefits are necessary and incidental to the carrying out of the purposes.

What your organisation does

* The organisation is made up youths from different countries, religion, backgrounds and race. By their coming together, working together and having fun together, diversity, equality, inclusion and interdependence is fostered. * The Organisation plans so many recreational activities as well as outdoor activities. It should be noted that

the Organisation is youth led and so, most times, they have meetings and then decide on who will do what. Through this way, upcoming leaders have emerged and the Youths are able to make decisions that appeal to them. * The Youths engage in outdoor activities that enable them keep fit . They would visit places like Jungle NI, Ulster Museum and other places where they will engage in different activities that will help their learning as well as their mental well being. Diverse Youths have the education enhancement scheme which caters to the Educational parts of their lives. They have classes for the younger groups (6-9 year olds), 10-12 year old, GCE classes and A-level classes. The volunteers for these classes dedicate their time and hours to make sure no child is left behind. During the pandemic, through funding got, laptops as well as tablets were provided for families to enable the youths engage in online lessons. While the older youths got the laptops, the younger ones got the tablets and these kept them.engaged and connected even through the lock down. * With the laptops and tablets, they continued zoom sessions where they had different activities as well as Educational classes. In all, the Organisation carries out its purpose by meeting with the youths who most time come up with the plan of activities they want to be engaged in. The Educational enhancement volunteers are also abreast with the Educational Curriculum of the Schools and try to tailor their teachings alongside those.

Charitable purposes

The aims of Diverse Youth NI will be, insofar as is charitable according to the law of Northern Ireland: • To promote diversity and religious and racial harmony by bringing together and foster understanding amongst young people from the diverse communities in Belfast and Northern Ireland. • To advance education for the public benefit by the provision of education support clubs for children primary school aged 5 – 11years and Children of secondary school age 12 to18 years from the diverse communities in Belfast area. • To promote equality, diversity, and inclusion amongst young people from the diverse communities in Belfast and Northern Ireland.
