Public benefits

The benefits which flow from this include improved physical fitness and mental health, increased skills in various athletic areas, as well increased support for families. The benefits will be demonstrated through feedback from participants, parents, and staff; as well as independent evaluation from governing bodies. Although rare, providing

physical training for participants can result in physical injury; however the long term benefits outweigh any harm that may be done. The benefits of this purpose are provided to The beneficiaries are young people aged between 5 to 17 years of ages; and to their families. The private benefits flowing from this purpose is that gained by either a trustee or staff member who have children that participate in our programmes. Each of whom gain access through the same process as other beneficiaries and is therefore incidental.

What your organisation does

JM Academy runs a number of different programmes for children who range between 4-17 years old (boys and girls) to participate in football. The organisations services and providing young people of all abilities the chance to participate in a safe but competitive atmosphere whilst using sport as the main driver. The sessions include fundamental

movement skills, development of physical exercise using mobility and skills to improve fitness. We have a range of different youth teams who participate in the local Harry Gregg Foundation Youth League which is held throughout the year, the teams would also be given the chance to compete all around the world in youth tournaments. We also have a link with Harpur's Hill Primary, School, Ballysally Primary School and Building Ballysally Together in which we offer structured training sessions in attempt to increase participation and improve fitness. We provide football for approximately 380 children and young people throughout these services. JM Academy also plan, deliver and review seasonal camps which are delivered for disadvantaged young people who live in one of the Neighbourhood Renewal areas within Coleraine, our camps are facilitated by qualified, Access NI checked coaches.
