Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include the reduction of distress, anxiety and nuisance caused to people and animals by incidences of animal mistreatment, neglect and abandonment as well as the inability to keep an animal due to changes in personal circumstances These benefits are demonstrated by the increased willingness of

members of the public to report instances of animal cruelty to statutory authorities as well as contacting the organisation for help and support with regards to animal welfare husbandry and care or to surrender an unwanted animal. it is also evident in the a steady reduction in the number of uncontrolled feral colonies, stray and unwanted animals. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries of this purpose are people living in the Fermanagh and Omagh areas of Northern Ireland namely the area covered by Enniskillen. A private benefit flowing from this purpose is that gained by any veterinary practice which receives payment for treatment provided to an animal as well as other animal supplies providers and businesses which receive payment for their services and products. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure that benefit is provided to our beneficiaries
