Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from our purpose is to help those affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy with the provision of aids and support to help them access trials and improve their independence. The benefits which flow will be evidenced through feedback from patients and regular independent evaluation of our services. The purposes of our
charity may lead to the following harm: In providing access to medical trials for patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy there is a risk of unintended side effects from the drugs however this is rare and the benefit outweighs the harm. The charity's benefits are provided to those diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and to their families and carers. There is no private benefit flowing from the purposes.
