The direct benefits flowing from the organisations purpose are; Providing continuous support to the older person and vulnerable adults in the Ballymena area, thus reducing their isolation and improving their well-being. GMB encourages them to be independent within their homes and communities and to build their social network. The benefits

identified can be demonstrated through; surveys, annual feedback from members, service evaluation. There is no harm from this purpose. The charity's beneficiaries are; Older people, families, carers There is no private benefit flowing from the purpose.

What your organisation does

GMB provides daily phone calls at an agreed time every morning Monday to Friday, between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm to check that they are okay, and to have a friendly chat. We will also be able to pass on information about local services and community events in their area. If they don't answer when expected, our telephone volunteer will phone the

nominated contact.

Charitable purposes

GMB (good morning Ballymena) is established to provide a telephone befriending, support and alert service to older persons and vulnerable adults (hereinafter referred to as the "beneficiaries") resident in Ballymena and associated rural districts (hereinafter referred to as the "area of benefit"), who are experiencing loneliness, social isolation, fear of crime and health-related problems. By doing this, GMB hopes to support the beneficiaries to remain independent within their homes and communities and to encourage beneficiaries to build social networks. To establish or secure the establishment of a centre in Ballymena (hereafter called "the centre") and to maintain and manage such a centre or to cooperate with any local organisation(s) in its maintenance and management for the activities promoted by GMB in furtherance of the above objects.
