Public benefits
The direct benefits flowing from our purpose is that our projects promote social inclusion and social cohesion by involving and inviting all community groups to participate in our events, which in turn can promote better mental health. The events also provide community networking and encourages cross community participation. In order to have a
community centre, we must have a "community" and our events help to do this. We have organised a number of successful events which have seen in excess of 1000 people in attendance which included a diverse number of activities. The group take ownership of these events and their organising, and their success help empower and build on the confidence of our members. There is no harm arising from any of our purposes. The charity's beneficiaries will be the people of our town and surrounding areas, who have been seeking a community centre for a number of years now. The need itself was established by our community to deter anti social behaviour and promote community participation, which will in turn create a better appreciation and mutual respect for all. There is no private benefit flowing from any of our purposes.
